Acquisitions & Development

Abbey Residential, LLC has been in business since 1984 and owns approximately 8,500 apartments from South Carolina to Texas. We have our own fully staffed construction and management companies which operate and construct our properties. Over the last 28 years, our company has constructed new properties and performed redevelopments and repositioning on thousands of apartment homes. In determining the extent to which an apartment property is redeveloped and improved, our management team visits and evaluates all properties in the general area. The team will determine what enhancements are required to exceed the amenities of competitive properties. The improvements are then performed by subcontractors who have been providing services to Abbey Residential Services, Inc. for many years. These contractors are accustomed to providing the quality product we expect.

We are interested in properties which are candidates for repositioning as well as new "Class A" developments and land to be developed for multifamily use.  Abbey Residential prefers the property to have a minimum of 200 units. At this time, we are focusing our efforts in the Southeast and Southwest United States. We are also purchasing land in upscale neighborhoods that are capable of supporting newly constructed communities from 200 - 500 apartments.
